It’s almost time for the next PeepshowTO Production! Spielberg-lesque is a must see show featuring Burlesque routines based on characters from Steven Spielberg’s cinematic repertoire. Jurassic Parts? We’ve got em! Jugs? You know it! Indiana Bones? You better believe it!

I am so excited to be performing in an amazing group number with some very talented ladies and gentlemen! We will certainly take you on a ride you won’t want to miss! Here’s a little teaser photo from our rehearsal yesterday…

2015: Another Fabulous Year!

2015 was a spectacular year for me! I went to New York City, Orlando, Montreal and Detroit. I performed in the Girlesque Expo, the Toronto Burlesque Festival and Pride Toronto. I got three new tattoos including a BFF tattoo with Betty Quirk. I watched one of my best friends get married. I launched Dolly Shots Photography. But most importantly I had a blast doing all these things with my fabulous friends.

The theme of this year for me was Girl Power! I continue to surround myself with the smartest, funniest and coolest group of gals who are constantly inspiring me. They are loving and supportive and always there to give advice, encouragement or share a cute cat photo! I feel so lucky and blessed to have these women in my life.

I have big plans ahead for next year! Stay tuned for more fabulousness in 2016!

My second spooky babe of the week is Miss Betty Quirk!

Burlesque performer and Co-Producer of Peepshow TO, Betty Quirk has been thrilling audiences with one of her signature acts as Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice. I finally had the chance recently to capture some photos of her in this phenomenal costume with her Sand Worm hand puppet. Today’s model is a truly unique beauty, the purple princess, Betty Quirk! Not only does Betty have a killer, colourful look, this Nerdlesque performer and producer has a style all her own when it comes to Burlesque. She is the co-producer of Peepshow TO, in which she has brought together comedy, pop culture and striptease in a series of spectacularly successful shows. And after a short hiatus Peepshow TO is back in action with their latest show Super Smash Bras: A Nintendo Inspired Burlesque. You won’t want to miss this incredibly talented lady and her gaggle of hotties (myself included) for this outstanding event!

We are part of the Glam-A-Ganza show and will definitely bring the Glam in our Gentlemen Prefer Blondes tribute act. Two Little Gold Diggers

This year’s Girlesque Expo in Toronto was an especially monumental one for me as it was the debut of a brand new act from myself and Betty Quirk. It is hard for me to even put into words that joy that I felt finally bringing this act to life. It has been a dream of ours for sometime to take the Little Rock number from the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and put our own burlesque twist on it. The scene, which has a very silly theme about finding a man with money, also showcases a genuine bond between two girlfriends who are navigating the world of men and relationships. Betty and I enjoyed playing up both this friendship aspect as well as the silliness of the number and concluded with a whole lot of booty shaking. We also took on the task of recreating the costumes from the film and creating our own fun undergarments. It was a very successful show for us and we are very thankful to have such awesome photos from Photolena of our performance as well as a video from Candid Dragon Fire Productions which is at the bottom of this post.

Girlesque Festival 2015

I am so excited that next weekend is the 10th Annual Great Canadian Girlesque Expo! Girlesque is arguably the biggest and most exciting burlesque event in Toronto and is often a chance for performers to debut there newest creations. Myself and my design partner Betty Quirk have been preparing for months for the Girlesque expo as both performers and costumers to many other performers involved. We are very lucky to be outfitting Laura Desiree, Gigi Vanilla, Delicia Pastiche, Dottie Dangerfield and Dolly Berlin for this year’s expo!

We are even more excited to be debuting a dream act of ours at the closing Sunday night show! With inspiration from Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell, our act will be a fun mix of genres and styles. We can’t wait to share it with you!

2014: Reflecting on a Fabulous Year!

It’s hard to believe 2014 is finally coming to a close. This year has been so full of joy and success, good times and great friends. I have a new job which I love so much and is the start of a wonderful career. I have the most amazing group of friends a girl could ever ask for, not to mention the cutest kitten on the planet. And I’ve been able to express my creativity through so many amazing fashion photo shoots and design projects. I performed in an international burlesque festival, got a giant mermaid tattoo, met two of my idols (Yaya Han and Tess Munster) and I even started this blog. I can’t believe what a lucky girl I am and I feel so incredibly thankful to have had all these experiences.

So here we go. This is my year in photos; memories from most of the big events, photo shoots, friends, lots and lots of friends and the most fabulous fashions. Thank you for following my blog and I wish the happiest New Year to you all!
