Last weekend my best bud Betty Quirk and I had a stroll through High Park with the lovely photographer Tyrone Islington and my amazing assistant Val! The lovely fall leaves were the perfect setting for a little spooky, halloween inspired shoot. The jacket I am wearing was a costume piece I made a few years ago for a burlesque routine and the skirt Betty is wearing I made for her with the left over material. Betty and I are no strangers to dressing in co-ordinating outfits and I love the way these two looks compliment each other. Enjoy our halloween pinup photos and have a very scary Halloween!
Our final Peepshow TO show by all means should have been a sad affair. It was the final time our amazing group of performers and friends would come together to put on the biggest and best nerdlesque show in town. The last time we would all gather backstage, getting ready and gabbing, swapping eyelash glue and pastie tape. The final collective feeling of putting on a show that was truly entertaining, inspiring and unique. But instead of feeling loss and despair I could not imagine a more electric evening. There was a buzz in the air from the minute the Great Hall began filling up. Every seat was taken and still people stood to watch what can only be described as one of the greatest shows that we have ever created. From start to finish the energy was palpable. Not one lull or low moment was felt and the volume of cheers and laughs echoed endlessly through the night. Every performer brought their best and the roaring crowd pushed each of us to be that much better.
I feel so lucky to have such talented, inspiring and loving friends and to have had so many opportunities to work with these amazing people. Even though this was the last Peepshow event (for now anyways) I couldn’t be sad for even one second because my mind is filled with all the wonderful moments I have shared with this group.
Thank you Leelando, Sevvy and Betty for giving us a stage to perform on, for making it possible for us to come together as a team and for working so tirelessly to ensure each event has been more outstanding than the last. Thank you to all the performers who have constantly pushed each other to be more creative simply by being endlessly creative themselves. Thank you to Rena, Mong Tho, Amie and everyone who has worked backstage throughout the past few years. Without you we would be utterly lost. And finally, thanks to everyone who has come out to support our shows. Hearing the excitement in your cheers is the fuel that drives us.
The final curtain has closed. The show has concluded. But I promise this is not the last you will hear or see of the members of the PeepshowTO family.

My wonderfully multi-talented friend Ketzia Kobrah has begun working on a video project called the Brick Wall Sessions. This series of videos features burlesque performers doing titillating one minute stripteases. My lovely friends Betty Quirk and Leelando Calrissian and I were the first few participants in this series. We each did a solo routine and Betty and I also did our go-go dancing duet. Last Sunday I attending Sinful Sundays at Cherry Colas in Toronto! Two of my favourite ladies, Betty Quirk and Sevvy Skellington, were performing at this weekly burlesque show along with the lovely Miss Mitzy Cream. This past weekend my friends from Peepshow TO and I put on our best cosplays and strutted our stuff at one of the biggest Nerd Conventions in North America: FAN EXPO! Fan Expo brings together fans of Comics, Sci-Fi, Anime, Horror and Gaming for a weekend of geeky fun. The Peepshowers had a booth in the Horror section of the con and spent most of our time advertising our next show Garters of the Galaxy: A Marvel Inspired Burlesque. We had a blast chatting up con goers and posing for photos in cosplay.
This year I really over extended myself by attempting to do 2 brand new cosplays for the con. On Friday the Peepshow crew did a Sparkly X-Men Group cosplay in which I portrayed the White Queen Emma Frost. For the big day, Saturday, we did another group cosplay. This time it was the DC Bombshells, which is a set of female DC characters as 1940s pinup girls. For this group I did Supergirl, which was such fun to make and to wear. On the final day I decided to wear an old favourite, my Batwoman burlesque cosplay. Overall the highlight of the weekend was definitely getting to meet the Queen of Cosplay herself; Yaya Han! Yaya is such an inspiration for me as a cosplayer. Her costumes are flawless and she really embodies each character she portrays.

Happy Monday everyone! Last week I was super surprised to find my photo on a poster of the Toronto street festival Taste of the Danforth! The photo was taken last year at the festival after my friend Kim and I had just purchased some yummy souvlaki. If you are riding the TTC keep an eye out for mini Dolly!
Last weekend I had a wonderful time exploring the insanity that is Atomic Lollipop which took place at the Ontario Science Centre! For those who don’t know what A Pop is, it is a convention that brings together cosplayers, ravers, nerds, gamers, larpers, lolita fashionistas, celebrity guests and so much more. It’s really hard to describe what exactly A Pop is, so I’m going to let this video explain…
Personally, I had a great time going to panels about Gender, LGBT comics, Burlesque, Crossplay and Lolita fashion, seeing performances from Pizza Underground, Illuminair Entertainment and Boylesque TO, performing for Peepshow TO, checking out the amazing vendors, participating in a lightsaber battle and so much more! Myself and the amazing Leelando Calrissian who was crossplaying as Catwoman!Pizza Underground played on Friday night. They play Velvet Underground covers but change the words to be about pizza. Oh and Macaulay Culkin is a band member.They gave out free pizza!Then I bought an Alpaca and I named him Al.Bre Poisonne blew everyone away with her amazing Aerial Hoop performance!Scarlet Black did a fire routine as Sailor Mars!After obtaining our free lightsabers, we proceeded to the lightsaber battle outside!So many lightsabers!Brittany tried on a Red Panda Kigurumi!And we saw Macaulay Culkin buy a Gloomy Bear Kigurumi!To end Friday night the Boylesque boys did a little stripping for us. Last wednesday I had the pleasure of seeing one of my favourite photos from my collaborations with If You Fall Photography displayed in the Art Vs Alt show at Rosie the Rebel! It was a wonderful show filled with lots of very edgy, dark and musically inspired paintings, photographs and sculptures. I had a wonderful time taking it all in and was honoured to be included in the show. Thanks to Alex from If You Fall for making me look so damn cute!
This weekend is going to be insanely fun for those attending the convention Atomic Lollipop! From July 11-13 we will be taking over the Ontario Science Centre for a weekend of insane games, panels and shows. On Saturday at 9pm Peepshow TO will be taking over the main stage with a Cartoon and Comic themed show. Come out and see my legendary Batwoman act!
