My second spooky babe of the week is Miss Betty Quirk!
Burlesque performer and Co-Producer of Peepshow TO, Betty Quirk has been thrilling audiences with one of her signature acts as Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice. I finally had the chance recently to capture some photos of her in this phenomenal costume with her Sand Worm hand puppet. If you want to see Betty perform this act and others, you can catch in her Yellowknife on Halloween at the Movie Madness Burlesque Show. Now please enjoy these photos of Betty Quirk as Lydia Deetz!
I have something a little bit different and a little strange for you this week! My burlesque buddy Dr. Orifice and I recently shot this set of photos of him as Nikola Tesla, from one of his signature burlesque acts. Dr. Orifice is new to our Toronto Burlesque scene but is already making waves with his seductive yet absolutely ridiculous style. If you haven’t seen his Tesla act, you must make sure to check it out. Please enjoy these photos of Dr. Orifice!
The producers of Peepshow TO have come out with a fabulous new line of matte lipsticks to help Level Up Your Lips! Whether you are a Sevvy, Betty or Leelando, there is a shade for you in this new collection. Perfect for perking up your cosplay or wear everyday to brighten your look! You can get these fabulous lipsticks at the next Peepshow TO show, Super Smash Bras, which is this Saturday September 25th at the Great Hall in Toronto.
Today’s model is a truly unique beauty, the purple princess, Betty Quirk! Not only does Betty have a killer, colourful look, this Nerdlesque performer and producer has a style all her own when it comes to Burlesque. She is the co-producer of Peepshow TO, in which she has brought together comedy, pop culture and striptease in a series of spectacularly successful shows. And after a short hiatus Peepshow TO is back in action with their latest show Super Smash Bras: A Nintendo Inspired Burlesque. You won’t want to miss this incredibly talented lady and her gaggle of hotties (myself included) for this outstanding event!
Myself and my partner in crime, Betty Quirk, will be performing our Two Little Gold Diggers routine this Saturday evening at the Toronto Burlesque Festival! We are part of the Glam-A-Ganza show and will definitely bring the Glam in our Gentlemen Prefer Blondes tribute act. We don’t get to perform this act too often so you won’t want to miss a chance to see it! Please enjoy these photos are from the amazing photographer Elizabeth Horodnyk!
I am beyond excited to share this set of photos with you from my second epic photoshoot as photographer for Dolly Shots!
First up is the fabulous, fun, effervescent Zilly Lilly! I seriously cannot say enough good things about this gal. Besides being the kind of beauty that you just can’t help staring at, Zilly is a passionate person, immersing herself completely in everything she does. She is a fireball of energy and endless creativity. If you want to see that creativity in action you can catch Zilly at the Toronto Burlesque Festival this weekend for their Pop Culture night on Saturday.
I love the personality that Zilly brought to her first photo set and I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
In just a few short days the most epic Nerdlesque show to grace a Toronto stage will be taking place. Lord of the G-Strings, a Tolkien inspired burlesque event will be taking place on Sunday May 17 at Revival in Toronto. I will be playing the majestic role of Galadriel amongst a cast of all your favourite characters.

I am so excited that next weekend is the 10th Annual Great Canadian Girlesque Expo! Girlesque is arguably the biggest and most exciting burlesque event in Toronto and is often a chance for performers to debut there newest creations. Myself and my design partner Betty Quirk have been preparing for months for the Girlesque expo as both performers and costumers to many other performers involved. We are very lucky to be outfitting Laura Desiree, Gigi Vanilla, Delicia Pastiche, Dottie Dangerfield and Dolly Berlin for this year’s expo!
We are even more excited to be debuting a dream act of ours at the closing Sunday night show! With inspiration from Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell, our act will be a fun mix of genres and styles. We can’t wait to share it with you!

It’s hard to believe 2014 is finally coming to a close. This year has been so full of joy and success, good times and great friends. I have a new job which I love so much and is the start of a wonderful career. I have the most amazing group of friends a girl could ever ask for, not to mention the cutest kitten on the planet. And I’ve been able to express my creativity through so many amazing fashion photo shoots and design projects. I performed in an international burlesque festival, got a giant mermaid tattoo, met two of my idols (Yaya Han and Tess Munster) and I even started this blog. I can’t believe what a lucky girl I am and I feel so incredibly thankful to have had all these experiences.
So here we go. This is my year in photos; memories from most of the big events, photo shoots, friends, lots and lots of friends and the most fabulous fashions. Thank you for following my blog and I wish the happiest New Year to you all!
