Over the next few weeks I will be sharing my “Ode to Bettie Page” striptease pinup set!
Bettie Page is a huge modelling inspiration to me. She was the queen of posing and had the perfect face to match each look. From fun and peppy, to sassy and seductive, Bettie’s range was astounding and diverse. I hope I have done her justice in portraying the different moods and looks of Bettie. I received a few of the photos from my shoot with Dana Brushette and Tess Munster that I wanted to share with you! I’m so happy about how these turned out and I feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to work with these fantastic ladies! I made this outfit for a burlesque act but thought it would be a fun outfit to shoot with Dana in. I love the way she has captured the look and really made this set something special.

A Perfect 14
A wonderful new documentary is coming out about plus size models and our current beauty standards called A Perfect 14. As a plus size woman I am so thrilled to see a new standard of beauty emerging in our culture. It’s about time we stop putting a size on beauty and start respecting and celebrating the diversity of the female form.
I wanted to share this photo set with you today because this is my Eff Your Beauty Standards moment. At 210 lbs I could not be more happy with my body or the way I look. Beauty has no size. I am proud of my body and I would rather spend every day loving and embracing myself than being frustrated that I don’t fit into the tiny box society has labeled “ideal”. Who cares how much you weigh? Who cares if your thighs rub together or your arms jiggle? Why should that prevent you from feeling fabulous? Don’t let anyone else’s beauty standards dictate your self worth. Be yourself, love yourself and embrace who you are.

Peepshow Clipshow!
I am so excited to be part of the Peepshow Clipshow this coming Saturday May 3rd at the Drake Underground in Toronto! For those who don’t know, PeepshowTO is one of the best Nerdlesque troupes and regularly puts on sold-out shows with themes like Marvelesque, Tarantino Tease and Apocalust. The Peepshow Clipshow is going to be a compilation of some of the best acts from past shows. I will be performing as Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones. You won’t want to miss this event, seriously, I highly recommend getting tickets in advance because it’s very likely that this show will sell out!

Photoshoot with Tess Munster
I was lucky enough to spend my Easter Sunday with the gorgeous plus size model Tess Munster!
When I found out Tess was coming to Toronto I immediately booked a spot in her photography workshop with legendary pin-up photographer Dana Brushette. Obviously, I had to make a brand new outfit for this photoshoot, which is also part of a costume for a new burlesque act I will be premiering at the Peepshow Clipshow on May 3rd. You can see a small proof from my session below. I’m very excited to get the finished shots back to share with you.
Tess was the absolute sweetest, very encouraging to all the models and such a fun presence to be around. I think everyone who went to the workshop had a blast just being near this radiant woman. I was also thrilled to meet Dana, whose work I have admired for a long time. I hope to have the chance to work with both these amazing women again!
