It’s been a very busy March, but I’m finally getting back to posting again! Happy Valentine’s Week!!
Full disclosure, I am single. For over a year now I have put my love life on the back burner for a number of reasons. That said, I have no shortage of love in my life and this week, as we celebrate the holiday of love, I want to remind everyone that romantic love is only one slice of the big love pie! I have been lucky enough to find love in so many other places, from my family, who do and have done so much for me, to my incredible, close-knit group of friends who are always there to lift up, comfort and support each other. Thank you to those truly important people in my life! This Valentine’s day it is you who I keep in my heart and send copious amounts of love to!

It’s a new year and this week I’m feeling like a new lady!

2018: A Year of Changes
2018 has been a transitional year. It has been the uncomfortable growing stage in between leaving a past self behind and becoming a new creature. It has been hard and it has been a journey but ultimately it has been worth it.
In 2018 I performed at the Fierce! International Queer Burlesque Festival, the Toronto Burlesque Festival, the ROM with Amplify Apparel, all three PeepshowTO productions, twice at Speakeasy at Revival, the Ladies of Burlesque at the Royal, Toronto Pride and my favourite place; Yeti Con! I even go-go danced in the elevator at the Toronto Reference Library for the Snailoween Party! I travelled to New York and barely made it to Montreal, where I was sadly too ill to perform at the Bagel Burlesque Festival.
The biggest change in my life this year was leaving my soul-sucking, 9-5 office job for a more creative career path. I have had some of my best photoshoots, both in front of and behind the camera and worked with a whole plethora of new and wonderful people! I made a fabulous new costume for one of my favourite performers, Laura Desiree. I celebrated the marriage of two of my dearest friends. I got a new, badass tattoo of my idol Tura Satana from my girl Suspiria! And to top off the whole year I move back into my apartment after nearly a year of extensive renovations!
I am now in the process of setting up Dolly Shots Studio for 2019 and I am so excited to share it with you! Stay tuned next year for lots more fabulous-ity and beauty!

I am thrilled to be featuring another beautiful, new face on my blog this week, the actress, singer and vintage clothing maven; Erica Peck!
I met up with Erica, who was lugging a huge bag of fantastic vintage clothing from her company Wild Thing Vintage, and together we ventured down to Ash Bridges Bay in Toronto to take some fun beachy shots. You can catch Erica on stage at the Statford Festival playing Magenta in the Rocky Horror Picture Show until the beginning of December!
