I’m bringing you more heartbreak on this love-themed holiday with part 2 of my Heartbreak Hotel series.
Thanks once again to my fantastic team including our Photographer, Jonathan Choi. My amazing Artistic Director, Katherine Bermudo was the visionary behind this series and brought it to life. And of course our helpful assistants Rachel and Khristianina.
This year I decided to pay tribute to legendary Horror Babe Vampira! Tyrone Islington and I took a little trip to the cemetery to take some spooky photos of the costume I made. I had some help with the incredible claws from my friend Vall.
This Burlesque Babe has a real Tura Satana vibe with her raven hair, winged eyeliner and the way she combines strength and seductiveness. You can see Lorelei embracing her inner Russ Meyer girl on July 28th at The Royal Cinema for the Ladies of Burlesque’s screening of Faster Pussycat Kill Kill featuring Lorelei as the burlesque entertainment for the evening.
Last thursday I attended the RAW Art and Fashion Showcase at Revival in Toronto. When I arrived the place was packed with a very cool crowd of artists and art connoisseurs. Local painters, photographers, jewelry designers and makeup artists had booths set up around the venue and in the upstairs balcony showing off their work. The main event was the fashion show featuring collections from Love, Poetry Corsets and Amplify Apparel. I had a wonderful time taking in all the art and talent in the room and was blown away by many of the artists I met. I was especially excited to see the Game of Thrones inspired collection from Amplify Apparel, which featured an array of outstanding sculptural jewelry and accessories, worn and weathered, handcrafted garments, modelled by some of the city’s top fire/circus performers!
